Airwise Travel

The celebration during the London dazzling history combines with 21st Century hospitality to engage and entertain visitors from around the world. From art to sport, from fashion to film to finance, London offers the world traveller with a multitude of options. The only problem is choosing what to see first!

Some seven million Londoners live in the Greater London area, a piece of land that stretches over 609 square miles. In fact, The City of London Center is 1 square mile, but in many fans picturesque villages, boroughs, and companies that add to its history and its charm.

As Europe's largest city, London is host to over 25 million visitors a year, yet it is never too crowded to be enjoyable. There is always time for tea and a stroll through London's famous parks and gardens. Popular destinations abound, such as theatres, concert halls, shops, restaurants, sports venues, world famous, and hundreds of restaurants with cuisine from around the world. Festivals and music, theatre, and sporting events occur throughout the year.

London offers the best of British food, fashion and culture, but its multicultural population gives it an international flair, as well. Nearly 40 ethnic groups with a population of 10000 or call London home. With a multitude of visitors from around the globe, they give the city a vibrant mix of languages, dress, festivals, and living life on the street.

Family activities have the highest priority in London. A penchant for children is reflected in the wide variety of attractions that will appeal to any young person. Of these, zoos, amusement rides, arcades, museums, theatres, attractions and music, to name but a few.

Millions of visitors from around the world can attest to the popularity of shopping at Harrods, visit the Tower of London, seeing London Bridge, and tours of Buckingham Palace and Parliament. Relive the golden age of the vast expanse of the British Empire, while enjoying the animals originating in those regions to London Zoo. Spend a day walking in the British Museum, marveling at some of its 6 million exhibits, tour Westminster Abbey and the Royal parks and gardens.

The evenings begin with fabulous dinners at the restaurant found in dozens of ethnic neighborhoods across London and continue with an evening at the theater or the London Symphony and perhaps a late night in a neighborhood pub stop for a snack and a local stir before the last bell rings.

Many self-guided tours from London to the surrounding countryside, serving destinations such as the Greenwich Observatory, Stratford-on-Avon, and farther to the west of England, Scotland and Wales . Many visitors also expect a quick return on the "Chunnel", the sub-rail service linking England and France. No visit to London would be complete without a ride on the famous "double-decker" bus.

The Princess Diana Memorial Walk diagrams 7 miles path that connects a number of parks in London. It starts at Kensington Gardens and continues through Hyde Park, Green Park and St James' Park, taking Spencer House, Buckingham Palace en route.

It should be a lifetime to see what London has to offer. Perhaps what is so visitors each trip to London as a "once in their life experience" and return often to continue their explorations of its many facets.

Travelers may not be aware that most employee benefit packages have a travel insurance component. Before buying travel medical insurance, check your group coverage to see if you are already covered, and if so, for how much.
